I’m so glad you’re here. I’m just a small-town south Texas guy living in Austin, Texas doing this gig called entrepreneurship.
My passion is helping salon and spa professionals reach their full potential by showing them a better way to run their businesses using innovative practices, simple-to-use technologies, and fail-proof systems needed to succeed in today’s business environment.
In fact, the first eight years after college I spent working at Fortune 500 companies, tucked away in a cubicle among the many other hamsters running on their wheels. All was not lost though. I learned a lot about systems, structure and business but knew that there was more to life than spending an eternity buried in Excel spreadsheets, staring at the clock waiting for five o’clock to roll around every day. Towards the end of my corporate marathon, I spent my evenings attending culinary school with aspirations of opening a catering company. That actually happened for all of about nine months.
Then, at the age of 29, a dear friend who believed in me, offered me an opportunity to run her one-location 1,000 sq. ft. studio salon nestled right across the street from The University Of Texas here in Austin, Texas. Fast forward eighteen years, throw in a ton of mistakes, bruises, scrapes and burns, and what you’ll see is 7-figure, multi-location, profitable business I’m running today.
Today the picture looks very different from those early days. Now I’m spending more time working ON my business instead of IN it. These days, I consider time my most precious resource. For me, it’s all about freeing up as much time in my day so that I can continue to do the things that I love. I really believe that is the path to true happiness. Imagine waking up each day excited, having the freedom to do whatever you want! You can have that, but it doesn’t just happen on its own. It happens by design.
You wanna know what gets me out of bed every day? It’s helping other entrepreneurs reach their full potential, helping them transform their dreams into reality. It’s helping them grow something out of nothing all while not feeling so alone. Yeah, that saying really IS true, “It’s pretty lonely at the top….”. Actually, it's more like “...….pretty lonely when you’re trying to figure it all out.” If I can be that one element in your entrepreneurial journey that accelerates your success trajectory by one, three or five years…. giving you buckets of time back along the way, then I’ll consider my job done.
